Welcome to My Personal Page
On March 21, 2018, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to her pancreas, one kidney, lymph nodes, and spine. After a monthlong stay in the hospital fighting for her life, she got stronger and was able to eventually come home to live with Ash, Linnea, and me. However, we recently learned that the three rounds of chemotherapy that Mom had completed had very little effect, and the cancer has continued to spread. She will begin a different form of treatment called immunotherapy in hopes that it slows down the cancer and buys her more time to spend with her first granddaughter and all who love her.
Lung cancer is an ugly disease that is most often caught when it has already spread and is therefore not curable. My wish is for research to find a way to cure extensive stage lung cancer, to raise awareness and push for early screenings. Any amount helps. Thanks for honoring my mom and standing with us as we navigate this difficult journey.
