2019 A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities

Support the fight to beat lung cancer!

I am fundraising for the 13th Annual A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities in memory of my dearest friend Caroline who passed away last year from lung cancer. Caroline fought a strong battle and she never ever let it get her down. Her faith, love of family and friends kept her so upbeat she was such an amazing woman and an example to all of us who knew her. My mother passed away in 2001 from lung cancer-I will walk in memory of Mom,too. My sister-in-law, Gloria, is fighting lung cancer right now and I walk in her honor to help in research so she will win the fight.

This is my first time to participate in this walk and my goal is to walk it for several years to come. I ask that you find it in your heart to make a donation and/or you are invited to join my team SWEET CAROLINE and walk with me. If you decide to join there is a button on my personal page to join the team...Clik on the URL at the bottom of this message to go to my personal page and join the SWEET CAROLINE team.

Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer, claiming more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers COMBINED;
More than 160,000 Americans will die of lung cancer this year. Half are nonsmokers when diagnosed; and
Lung cancer research remains dramatically underfunded.

The A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities began in 2007 after a group of lung cancer patients, their family members and their nurse experienced the lack of awareness, resources and support for this devastating disease. They realized that without action, the then 15% survival rate would not improve.

A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) in 2008 to fight lung cancer through awareness, patient and family support and innovative lung cancer research.
