2019 A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities

Love Laugh Lisa

This year, we lost an incredible person. My mom was so full of life and participated in this walk twice, once for her brother who lost his battle with lung cancer and also for herself. Just two years ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away October 27th with immediate family by her side. I personally can’t wait to walk again for such a great cause, in hopes that one day there will be a cure!

We are fundraising for the 12th Annual A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities because:

  • Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer, claiming more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers COMBINED.
  • More than 160,000 Americans will die of lung cancer this year. Half are nonsmokers when diagnosed; and
  • Lung cancer research remains dramatically underfunded.

The A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities began in 2007 after a group of lung cancer patients, their family members and their nurse experienced the lack of awareness, resources and support for this devastating disease. They realized that without action, the then 15% survival rate would not improve.

A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) in 2008 and fights lung cancer through awareness, patient and family support and innovative lung cancer research.

Please consider a donation to support our team’s efforts to beat this unfair and misunderstood disease.
