Support the fight to beat lung cancer!
We are fundraising for the 13th Annual A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities because:
- Our spunky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother & friend lost her 9 year battle to lung cancer on July 3, 2019
- Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer, claiming more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers COMBINED.
- More than 160,000 Americans will die of lung cancer this year. Half are nonsmokers when diagnosed; and
- Lung cancer research remains dramatically underfunded.
A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities began in 2007 after a group of lung cancer patients, their family members and their nurse experienced the lack of awareness, resources and support for this devastating disease. They realized that without action, the then 15% survival rate would not improve.
A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) in 2008 and fights lung cancer through awareness, patient and family support and innovative lung cancer research.
Our team's goal is to raise $2000 to help beat this unfair and misunderstood disease. We are rallying our friends and family to come out to Lake Harriett and participate in the walk/run on August 10th. If you are unable to participate, we would greatly appreciate a small donation to Team Toni to support our team’s efforts.
Please note that if you already made a donation to A Breath of Hope in memory of Toni Egan, it will be added to our team's goal.
Thank you for your support!
